Introduction

Our goal is
to produce globally competitive engineers
who can contribute to the nation and the world

The Republic of Korea is rapidly expanding its global influence in various fields of science and technology. From semiconductors and LCD panels to construction and plant engineering, Korean engineers are making their mark around the world. Within this context, producing globally competitive engineers is a top priority for the nation and its future.

To develop outstanding human resources through education in engineering, GECE was established on July 1, 2009 with financial support from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. It is now poised to become a principal institution of engineering education to strengthen Korea’s national competitiveness by educating engineers who will possess world-class research and managerial capabilities.

The center aims to be an international network hub for the promotion of advanced engineering education. We will train creative global engineers by providing global engineering courses and programs to our students and the students from our partner universities, as well as practical engineers in various industries. To achieve our goal , we are conducting several projects to develop and manage interesting engineering education programs on innovative topics and engineering basics, supporting international research activities and conferences at the same time.

Our goal is to produce globally competitive engineers who can contribute to the nation and the world. I have a strong belief in the value of engineering education in this technology-driven world, and GECE’s emphasis on leadership in engineering education will certainly pave the way for the future engineering.
